    45/70 Marlin shootin vid

My brother just decided to go and buy a 45/70 yesterday, so I grabed mine and a few boxes of shells, off to the gravel pit we went. We had some 325gr and 350gr factory loads and some of my 400gr handloads. Mine is the "Magna Ported" version, and his is not, so it was interesting to see/feel the differences.

I threw this togeather last night, the last shot is pretty cool, you can see the muzzle blast blowing out the bbl ports.

I love the big bores! There is just something about a cartrdge that is steeped in history. With all the new fangled cartridges available these days, the ones from days gone by are still the pick for a whack of people.

PS. I think I was your brothers partner in the "horse race" last year.

I still prefer to hunt with my 45-70 than any other gun. It is fun to shoot and when loaded with 425 gr crater lites it adds a little to your confidence level while out hunting and hiking alone in the bush.
It is easier to get forgivness than it is permission.

It has been pointed out to us that the proper number to consider in the event of violent aggression is "911"- if you are of the rabbit people. Others will do better to place their faith in the number "1911".

RD I'm not sure of the point you are trying to make. The Vid is kind of humdrum ?

There was not much point to it, just had some guys askin about it, and I wanted to see how the headcam would work when shooting larger rifles (only ever tried it with the 10/22 before). I posted it for them, and figured some of you other guys might be interested.

No Bitch here. RD usually has some real good vid footage. And I have missed the point on other threads/posts, so tried to clarify this one. Watching someone else shoot a rifle is not high on my fun meter.
    I'll leave now.
