High quality vids on youtube

I just found this out, so I thought I would pass it along.
THERE IS A CODE THAT YOU CAN PUNCH IN TO WATCH YOUTUBE VIDS IN HIGH QUALITY.

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS ADD THIS TO THE END OF THE URL OF THE VID YOU WANT TO WATCH: &fmt=18 THATS IT, PRETTY SIMPLE EH? (the URL is in the outlook bar, at the top of your screen. Just add the code to the URL and hit enter)

So, this is the URL of the newest vid I uploaded to youtube (Hunting Camp Entertainment)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8FOMiQrQOOA if you click it you will see it in regular quality.

This is the HIGH QUALITY VERSION, try them both and see what you think. The code can be added to any youtube vid as far as I know

It makes quite a differance on some vids, not so much on others.

FOUND OUT SOME MORE

it depends on what screen resolution you have...for some &fmt=6...but when you change the screen resolution for better vewing , its " &fmt=18"

You only need to do this on video,s that have been posted " before " march 2008 (In my example, I used my most recient vid, which was posted after Mar 08...oops)

I found this on a video blog and this works too . When you do this , the video you are watching on Utube , will play with about 50% more clarity and sharpness . Try it , it works


instead of putting in the url thing

next to the ratings & view count
there is a little tv
click that.
and choose HIGH quality



This will work on all video,s posted after march 2008

i found a way to to this automatically log in to youtube and click account then more go to bottom of the page under and look for Video Playback Quality click it and check I have a fast connection. Always play higher quality video when it's available and save. http://www.google.com/support/youtub...n&answer=91449
