Wash and wear

I've heard stories of certain types of laundry detergent being bad for camo clothing. Something about the phosphorous in the detergent going in to the clothing and making it easier for the animals to spot...kind of like a glow stick in the dark. Anyone confirm or dispell this, and if it's true....what kind of detergents do you recommend.

I use Ivory snow on my clothes, IIRC it's the whiteners that make our clothes flourese. There is something too it, but I have to wonder if it makes any difference at 200yds???
