Thanks for the photos. Do you ever get rained on? Is Kent your lucky charm?

    Re: Pics from this season

I don’t bring my camera out in the rain often!
As a lot of guys on here know, I’ve been a Kent Ambassador (Pro Staff) for about 5 years now. But I started shooting it over 20 years ago after reading an article in Wildfowl or Waterfowlers magazine that was authored by the ballistics writer. It was hard to find in the lower mainland, I remember traveling to Stillwater Sports in Ladner to pick up a couple cases as they were one of the few that sold it back then. I was included in a group that HBC’s Marc got me included on (early days of HBC). Marc came over to hunt with Ian F. on this site and it was delivered to my blind just before daylight! Excellent memory, and I think the Kent case was about $100 back then!
But my lucky charm is probably my Browning Auto 5 Humpback. As Victor from this site said to me the day he joined me out in Pitt Marsh, “The day you bought that gun was a bad day for the ducks!” I was lucky to find a gun/shell combo that really works for me.

I’ll second the Kent ammo. Have had some very disappointing experiences with the cheaper stuff out there and whilst Kent might be 10$ more a box it’s worth it IMO. The only other ammo that comes close for me is Black Cloud - I’ve had some stunning kills at range with that stuff but somehow seems to lack a bit of consistency.

Fond memories of the marsh in the eighties. It did rain on occasion.
