In that price range you can’t go wrong with Nikon Monarch 7’s. I’ve had a pair for a bunch of years. Good glass and light weight. My wife has a set of Monarch 5’s. These are also a good set of binos.

Don't touch Nikon at ALL, great glass, I've a pair of Monarch 5's that the eye cup needed fixing. WILL NOT honor the 25yr warranty.

I bought Carson's they are fantastic, don't let the low price make you not consider them. Got mine on Amazon at near $350 better than my Monarch's hands down
Take a kid hunting its more rewarding than shooting an animal yourself!!

I amWondering if anyone in the new year would like to get together to compare spotting scopes and binoculars and if others are in the market if they want to join in and have a look at a bunch of different optics just curious if anyone in the lower mainland would be willing to do this

Zeiss terra ED are very good for the money. I used a pair for several years until I upgraded to Zeiss conquest.
