First Time Deer Hunting Outside Grand Forks (8-15)

Next week (Oct. 9-15) I plan on hunting just outside of Grand Forks (MU 8-15). This is my first time deer hunting in that area and I am taking my father-in-law in hopes of him experiencing his first deer kill.

I have a couple questions

1. Can anyone send some tips or general advice/areas (not asking for special hunting holes) for 8-15 deer hunting?

2. I haven't done much hunting in grizzly country. Are there many grizzlies in the area (1-2 hour radius of Grand Forks)?

I’m 15 mins east of GF on the east side of 8-15. I just got home from 12 days scouting antelope in Wyoming and Colorado and checked my cameras on last years “hot” whitetail trails. Not a single deer in 14 days. One cow and one bull elk wandered past, but that’s it.

Might be better closer to the Greenwood side?
