    Cell service in 3-30?

What is cellular telephone service like in the Loon Lake area and other parts of 3-30?

At 70 my wife doesn't like me going hunting alone, but if I can be in touch daily she feels reassured.

I usually do so with my Garmin Explorer, but if there is cell service then I wouldn't need to activate it.

Down by the lake itself it’s very poor, the west end of Bonaparte Plateau is pretty good on top but to the east it’s pretty much non existent, most places if you stand your phone up and keep it stationary you can sneak a call out but soon as you move the phone the call drops.

Just activate it, serves more than a communication purpose. Very valuable when in the bush by yourself and need help.

Yeah that's what I was thinking too.
