Most reliable is def a Honda.
Honda, Yamaha or any other Japanese machine for longevity, ease of ownership, and resale value.
Buy once, cry once.
Yamaha or Honda , I’d never buy anything else. My vote goes to Yamaha
I bought a yami 450 kodiak a couple years back, never let me down and i'll have it forever...

You can get a good deal on a new Polaris 450 now, $6900 I believe they were advertising. A 500 Can am would set you back over $11,000.....add in financing charges and taxes and there is a lot of room to flex in resale between the two.
