    boat blind

    http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g2...r/blind008.jpg

hey, just discovered waterfowl recently and love it so far!One thing that was apparent from the start was that THEY CAN SEE THE BOAT!
So today we started on a blind for my boat.
It will basically be a knockoff of the one in the cabelas catalog. The mesh will be fastened to the rails which will fold down for traveling. Here are a couple pics so far, i will post some more as it goes along

Looking good so far, I was thinking of trying the same thing for my boat.

I am working on a boat now too. I got some of the marsh grass sheets from Bass Pro Shops. It comes in 4' X 4' sheets. I made a portable blind with 3 to see how effective they are... works very well. I can set up my blind anywhere and the ducks know no difference.

picked up this netting from sportsman's warehouse across the line on the weekend.plan now is to make up bundles of long yellow grass and attach it randomly all over the netting.

oh great, show the whole world now everyone is going to have the same blind. It's going to be just like the robo ducks, the birds are going to see the same blind on every boat and we'll never suck them in.
    Way to go Rod.

Thanks for the ideas and pix Rod. I'm going to use the exact same setup to make blinds for me, another for my son, a couple more for some hunter friends of ours. And then they'll tell two friends and then they will....etc

hmmm its not really much of a secret when you can order the same one from the Cabelas catalog and have it shipped to your door in 7 days! , you should spend more time training that new dog of yours instead of causing mischief on the internet.

let alone talking about blinds does any one out there see any differrence whether their dog is hidden or not! i have a chocolate lab and she's good about hiding along with us in the bush/blind however when there's ducks coming in and she's still retrieving the ducks don't seem to care whether she's in plain view or not in fact sometimes i wonder if the ducks come in even better when the dogs in plain view.
