I don’t know about you guys, but the first thing I get in the nearest town after a ten day backpack hunt is a double patty cheeseburger with bacon and mushrooms and a side of poutine with a bunch of fresh greens. That’s the only time I actually enjoy plain broccoli and greens with nothing on them.

It’s a weird mix. Buns and greasy burger with plain greens. My body is pretty depleted after givin er like that.

I’ll dehydrate some sausages and report back. I’m guessing I’ll have to cook them to get some of the fat out before dehydrating.

Glad to say I have hunted Northern BC

Simon Fraser had pretty good judgement on what he found in BC

Slight derail- what dehydrates are guys running?
Had a big Cabelkas one few years back, Crapo Ed out and they didn’t honour the warranty.
Im ready to get into it again.
I used it for jerky and finishing off smoked fish.

I use the London Sunshine largest model off of Amazon, for an amazon special it works quite well and compliments the freeze dryer very well, regularity do jerky and dehydrated mushrooms(morels and all the good foraged ones)

If you are running out of time and need a few store bough meals, peak refuel makes most other dehydrated meals taste like trash.

    they are really good.

If that is the case 95% of sheep hunters will be eating Kraft Dinner for morale
