trying to find a local repairman for my binoculars

I have been using the Nikon Laserforce Rangefinding Bino. Since last year, the focusing ring keeps losing grip. It cannot focus as the result. I managed to "fix" it but the issue happens again. Trying to send it to the Nikon for warranty. the website asks for the receipt and warranty paper. which of course have been lost long ago. I would like to have the issue fixed by paying a local repairperson.

Thank you in advance if someone can point me to the right person in VI.

sounds like a job for a camera repair service maybe ?
Glad to say I have hunted Northern BC

Simon Fraser had pretty good judgement on what he found in BC

I sent my Binos to Nikon in Toronto. They were lifetime warranty and were replaced. Do you have the receipt?

I bought it at the Cabelas Nanaimo. I always misplaced my receipts. By searching the internet, there’s a camera repair shop in Victoria. The shop opens three days a week, while I have to work. Obviously I cannot physically be there to explain the issues. I may let my friend bring the binoculars to the shop.

I have a ZEISS bino and a pocket range finder. Things should be fine

Just a simple question: IF Nikon has a LIFETIME Guarantee just why would you have to produce a receipt to exercise it? Do they somehow not trust that without a receipt that they actually made it? Seems kind of strange to me...
