Texada Island Peak Rut dates

Hey everyone,

I have a trip planned to Texada Island for mid November in fall of 2023 for a week. Curious if anyone knows when peak rut for these Columbian blacktails are? I can adjust my trip to suit if need be

Honestly, the most overrated hunting location around in my opinion. We've been for a week mid-nov the last four years. Worse each year in terms of hunting pressure. Last year was our last. Puny deer too.

Mid november is pretty fantastic for blacktails. If you were to move your time for whatever reason id go a week earlier.

Wear hunter orange. It’s sketchy at best out there.

Yeah, lots of guys on those islands now. We did a successful hunt a couple of years ago in the 2nd week of November, but saw tons of people too and we were on a much more remote/less populated island.
