Sit on the right PORCH with whitetail its all about the right spot all the time.

Fixed it for you I popped both my whitetail and archery cherries this afternoon. Nice 4 point wandered in to my property and didn’t run away when I walked out the front door with my crossbow. He’s now hanging in the shop. I actually feel a bit guilty about taking one in my front yard, but I guess that’s why I moved back to the country. Had heart for dinner. It was deeeelicious! I’m sure a few more dinners and I will feel much less guilty.

We had 5 days in the bush and had to try several different spots before we honed in on the deer. All our opportunities came in the last evening/morning of the trip but none connected. All we can ask for is a chance which we worked for and got but came home empty handed.

I’m glad you got on to some deer. It’s way more fun to chase them than shoot them I find, although it can be frustrating getting shut out.
