    eason ends...

    With the season coming to an end, I decided to take this young fellow for the freezer.

    You guys denying that this is a young deer or what?

    BCH nice deer for a young one, should be good eats
    I hear pop #'s are doing well up there
    Glad to say I have hunted Northern BC

    Simon Fraser had pretty good judgement on what he found in BC

    knowing bucks like this are out there is what keeps the drive alive for me
    I know there is one where I go that is better than my PB, so still trying

    It's a nice deer, and will taste great. Congratulations FSJ.

    As for young, it depends on your definition. The average life span for a white tail buck is 4.5 years, does love longer, and of course that is an average. I would guess that buck is 3.5 and would have peaked next fall. I wouldn't consider that a young deer but a deer entering his prime. Doesn't matter though; it's a really nice deer taken in a perfect whitetail habitat. Will be some big ones around for a while.
