Cool Northern End Harrison Lake Hunting

Buddy and I are thinking of boating to furthest point north on Harrison Lake. What's the terrain like? I imagine only thing up that way is healthy black bear population and some blacktail. Just curious how thick it is up there and is there some decent trails etc to hike?

There are alot of very good roads, 4x4s and a couple of reservations .

Don’t expect to be stepping off your boat and be able to pick and choose what you want to shoot. There’s pockets that the animals like to be in just like most of the province and there’s areas that seem completely void of all big game.

PM me, I’ve spent a fair bit of time up there and can give some pointers.

Can be a very busy place, you won't be the only one's there, pick the smaller trails and you might get lucky,

Nice boat! I've always liked those and thought about building one.

I was at sloquet hot springs in sept. I left at 830 am. I spooked a possible 6 point elk off the road. Those Rosie’s are biggggggggg Def a 5 on the one side I’ve seen a few deer past port Douglas. Very steep. There is an old hunters cabin on a lake. Hike to only. That might be a good spot It’s off the old road. That’s not there. You fallow up Lizzy creek. To lizzy lake. I haven’t been but I’ve seen pictures. It looks like a nice spot. The would hope the cabin is still in good shape.
