Any deer rut activity yet?

I haven’t seen any bucks even considering looking for a doe yet, I was out in region 8 and saw lots of deer. Usually see them at least lurking around by now. Has anyone else seen anything different yet?

In town on the island the bucks are ramping it up. Took the dog for a walk yesterday morning and a big healthy fat neck 3*3 was nose to the ground walking the road. Saw us, looked for a second then nose back up in the air, big sniff and back to the ground head down and into the trees on a deer trail. Also lots of fresh scrapes on the neighbors trees this past week. Seems like the rut is always earlier in town by a week of so here. Just my observations but it should be kicking in. I think the cold weather coming up next week should definitely get them moving around

Was up in region 8 last week, WT Buck was following Doe around seen them 3x over 3 mornings he was sniffing her. Smelt a strong smelling Buck I got close too as well he reaked. Also seen lots of Does alone or with fawns and no bucks as well

Region 3, spotted a little white tail Buck trailing behind does today nose to the ground and spotted a decent 4pt mulie bedded up on a ridge with 2 does looking pretty bulked up, so I’d say depending on the region it’s getting started.. next week or two should be some good hunting!

Seen a few more bucks mixed in with the does in my area if reg 3.

Ya I have seen 3 different mature muleys yarding up does around the vernon area.....one is in my freezer

Can’t provide an update but going to check 8 cameras today and will report back for mid island. All cams been soaking for a month now pretty excited to see what’s moving around
