Glad to say I have hunted Northern BC
Simon Fraser had pretty good judgement on what he found in BC

North Thompson River Provincial Park is not a bad spot actually. Stayed there once on the way to Jasper one summer.
Clearwater Village Rd, by the river, nice spot.
thanks....

There is also Dutch Lake, it is the turn off to the west right where the hotel is. It's not a serene spot as there are lots of camping spots for RV's/trailers and cabins.

Dug up some photos of our stay at the Provincial site, shocked to realize that was 10 years ago! Close to the Thompson, I recall we put the canoe in & quickly realized the current was way too strong, it was a very short paddle haha. IIRC it was pretty quiet, especially for end July.
Yup the park is nice...so is Dunn lake..
Spent 5 days at Dutch Lake this summer with fam. Not a provincial, but has some lake front and check out the painted turtles in the Lilly pads
Hunt, Enjoy, Repeat
