New to mainland hunting

Ive never hunted the mainland (always Vancouver island) but would like to try mainland hunting for different game and enjoy a different landscape.

Does anyone have recommendations on where to go? Im open to pretty much anywhere that is driveable and am willing to go little farther if needed for better areas with more game and less pressure.

What are some decent areas? I know nothing at all about hunting the mainland/interior so any info is appreciated

Throw a dart at the map. The main land is 99% gate free. Anything north or south of the Nechako resavour (Kenny dam) look up Basalt Lake it's been on my to list for quite some time but have not gotten there yet.
