Another thing I don't understand is if chief Joe wants to be an autonomous national government, then why the hell are taxpayers still funding his band's very existence? Clearly he wants to have his cake and eat it too! Sorry Joe, you want to govern yourselves well then you've gotta foot the bill - no more sucking on the taxpayers' tit. That also includes building your own hospitals, schools, water/sewer and transportation infrastructure, your own airports and banking systems etc.

I agree... and he's complaining that some of their members are only living off 10k a year- sounds like those members aren't working as much as they should (of course there's exceptions, such as those who can't work due to a disability)...and are some of his members those that were hunting any moose at any time of the year? I'm sure that when the ministry issued the tags, they knew that the bull:cow ratios are good, otherwise they wouldn't have given out so many tags...therefore the LEH bull Harvest should be sustainable..

If we ever end up actually doing stuff like this, I am 100% in! No matter where it is in the province.

It's not his job to issue refunds.
He didn't issue the tags in the first place.
Do you understand who is screwing you here?

both the provincial government and the tribal government are creating conflict between hunters and natives

I might respect his wishes if he can ensure his extended family won't be killing cow moose in the future....

    .....ahhhaaahhaaahaha
Glad to say I have hunted Northern BC

Simon Fraser had pretty good judgement on what he found in BC
