    Straight or curved spotter?

Simple question I hope, but I feel like I’m going to get about 50/50 split on what’s recommended.

want to sit and glass across a lake (1km), from tripod. Rolling hills, not steep mountains.

I have a straight one but wish it were curved. I spent to much time behind a spotter and find it hard on my neck

I've had a vortex razor in both. Maybe it's just me, but I had a hard time finding whatever it was I saw with my binos that required a closer look using an angled spotter.

Edit: I think most people glass with binos and then look at things they see with their spotter.

When in doubt, just pin it.

Angled here too, Takes some practice at first but more ergonomic in the end

I’ve had both. I think I prefer the angled for what I do. Straight packs better in the backpack, though.

The only possible advantage I can see to a straight over an angled is it more streamlined for easier packability. Certainly would not give up my angled for a straight.

Have both and prefer the angled for glassing. My straight is very compact and light so has its place.
