and there in lies the dilemma, I am all sighted in with one brand and do I switch just because I can find a few boxes of another brand. Lets hope it is still sighted in properly and I dont have to waste half a box of what I have left to get it true again.

Many places have the 270 federal blue box that I have seen

Specifically which grain etc. of Vital Shok are you looking for?

As I stated before, Can Tire is listing abundant: Federal 270 Win 130gn Trophy Tip Vital Shok at numerous stores.

If being from the Puddle means Williams Lake, as is usually used, there are 13 boxes of the above ammo listed in stock.$69.99 box.

Even if you had to re-sight in your rifle, it should only take a few shots. I'd go with 3 to 5 to get it spot on for hunting purposes.

The last rifle I sighted in from new with a new scope took 8 shots to get a solid bullseye at 116 yards (Ruger Compact 16.1" barrel in 6.5CM and a Bushnell 4200 scope).

Good luck, I have been looking for run of the mill 270 Federal and everything is out of stock, and I am searching across Canada now. I did find some online, it would turn out to be 3.80 per shell!! Hard to justify sending them down range at paper targets.
Might have to throw rocks this year.
