"Wendego Lodge " Headed to 3 29 for November moose hunt. Has anyone stayed there? Looks to be right in our zone. Any info is appreciated. Talked to CO who gave some general directions on how to remain away from the closed to Motor Vehicle Zone also. We are planning on hunting slightly to the north east of the lodge but not sure how it connects the where we may want to be, especially if the roads start to suck. Will be scouting when the heats dies down. Also may just camp in tent close to the swampy lakes area but checking out back up plans.
Your likely 4000 feet plus in elevation and nights in November can easily be -15 so better be prepared. Wendego would likely work fine and used to be hunter friendly, but believe there is newish ownership after Norm had it for many years.
