as for the sockeye fishery,,,,,,,usually dont hear anything until near the end of month every 4 years ,,,,so it is way to early to make predictions just yet,,,,,but i do know in 2014,,,,,,numbers where coming in low,,,,,,then within 1 week span they all stated pushin through all at once,,,,and we got a last minute opener,,,which resulted in a 4/fish a day limit,,,,2018,,,,,the fish where on schedual,,,,numbers where bit low,,,,but we still got a 2/fish a day limit

I don’t see any opening for Fraser river sockeye as of yet.
All I saw was yo be looked at today, the 16th to assess.
Doesnt sound like the latest #’s are no where near high enough for them to open for us.
Lets hope there are plenty on their way, then maybe it will.
I have no real time info.

I saw that many decades ago, certain salmon, like sockeye and chum, are allowed more for the commercial sector.
    Anglers for coho and springs.

So, commercial and fn get first dibs on sockeye.
Seems like us anglers don’t fair out to well on much of anything these days.
No springs out in front of the Fraser for us until most likely Sept 1.
SRKW closure out by the north arm.
Gets better and better for us.
Ysung barbless hooks, limits if one or 2 a day, slot size limits, blah blah blah.
Catch a clipped salmon most likely US bound and you can keep it them for much of the prime time.
    Go figure.
Have a net, go right ahead.

The Rocky Mountains is the Marrow of the World
"Ain't this somethin'? I told my pap and mam I was going to be a mountain man; acted like they was gut-shot. "Make your life go here, son. Here's where the people is. Them mountains is for Indians and wild men." "Mother Gue", I says "the Rocky Mountains is the marrow of the world," and by God, I was right. Keep your nose in the wind and your eye along the skyline."
