    Nootka sound/ Esperanza inlet

Headed there for a Father’s Day trip with dad n son. Only have a few days to get some fish due to work schedule. Any tips on where to go for bottom fish would be greatly appreciated. Thanks 😊

Question Re: Nootka sound/ Esperanza inlet

What size of boat & are you willing to head offshore?

26 foot boat. I don’t think going offshore is outta the picture. Depends on weather I guess

Thumbs up Re: Nootka sound/ Esperanza inlet

Roger that. I'll dig up the old charts in the next day or two and see what I can offer up.

    Cheers

A buddy just got back from Nootka, not sure exactly where they fished but they did pretty well for bottom fish but salmon were spotty. Lots of undersized and only managed to bring home 2 springs.

Take the last one with a bit of a grain of salt. Some places are not named correctly.
We have caught halibut on the flats just outside Grassy Island though, so included this one.

    Best of luck!!
