This can't be good and Canadian oil industry is in shambles.
Yup, seems like the Saudis did not like seeing the oil being discounted!
Thus lower production to bring it to a price per barrel they like.
And yes, not what Biden wants or needs right now.
And I have no idea why the Saudis want to inflict that kind of pain on the US right now, and they “know” that’s what they are doing but why?????????
Did not think they hated the US?
    Maybe want Biden out?
    I have no idea?

And yup, fuel prices will go up here.
Any wagers or guesses what it will be soon?
    2.50, 2.75 or 3$ per litre?
I do know we are not done!

    Re: Fuel prices?

the world is awash with fossil fuels

this is a simple production (supply) problem caused by those who said "wind, solar, hydrogen" is the only answer

no logic, no thought that it would be a 10 + year transition

so the energy companies said fine, we all have 30 years or known reserves yet because of the 'climate' of 'no fossil fuels' we aren't going to waste our money looking for more; we'll just sell what we already have

and because we are not looking and spending, we will pay out 50 - 75% of our free cashflow to our shareholders

this is amounting to 12 - 20% annual returns to shareholders

did you know that your average Canadian energy company could buy all their shares and go private in 2 -4 years!

this is like you buy a condo and the net income pays off the condo in 2 - 4 years - that's how cheap they were

f'me - germany shuts down all its nuke plants.....now gets energy from france.........pray tell how? oh yeah, their nuclear grid.....too stupid for words

uk burning canadian wood chips to make electricity

this woke shite is really paying off.............

the energy ignorance globally is mind numbing

make no mistake, we all want a better environment for our kids and grandkids, BUT IT'S NOT A G'DAMNED SWITCH, it's a transition

drill baby drill; build those pipelines; ship all our nat gas to china so they can stop burning coal

and go full steam ahead inventing, creating and building new technology to replace FF's --- FOR AS LONG AS IT TAKES

then shut them all down (no, i do not believe that we will ever be off FF's)

    good luck to us all.................

ps. luckily the current pm cannot possibly screw up our country long term, and once he is gone, canada will realize its place as a commodity powerhouse with a license to print money

    Re: Fuel prices?

Yup, people do travel less, thus consume less in vehicles, but we have way more people and way more vehicles world wide.
And some still heat with oil in those parts of the world.
War also consumes a lot of oil.
    We have Russia/Ukraine right now.
What if very shortly China goes into Taiwan and sucks US into that???
Then it won’t even be high prices, it would be rationing.
Just the other side of the coin, maybe.
But oil I think is going over 100$ a barrel real soon and who knows where it stops then?
