    Re: Fuel prices?

i have yet to figure out why comox sucks so bad, i mean i normally love living here ( minus needing to cross the bridge after 11am), but the fuel prices are dumb, comox and chevron are the worst out here, i was in Nanaimo yesterday and regular fuel was 162.9 all over, come back here, cheapest i saw was 173.9

mind you in terrace last week i paid 209.9 diesel and the guy there said it hadn't come back below $2 there in ages

seems like certain little bubbles of towns and areas still love to price gouge, and make the most money they can off of people

    I agree.
It makes no sense why some places, popular ones are a certain price and other places more or other times less.
In the middle of nowhere suddenly the prices are lower then in busy centers.
You would some cheaper places takes more time to get fuel to etc.
    Thus cost more.
Other places should see endless supplies snd the prices are higher.
Tsawwasen years ago used to be bad.
You would think back then when crossing to PT was easier and lighter traffic, it would have been more competitive then elsewhere.
But it was more then in town.

I know around Clarke and 12th, the gas prices there are usually cheaper as the 2 stations compete like crazy at times.
Drive to Main and 12th, just a few blocks away and the price is much higher.

    A first-reg. more than diesel.

Glad to say I have hunted Northern BC

Simon Fraser had pretty good judgement on what he found in BC

It’s going to make for expensive Hali fishing, salmon also this year.
We already try to get 4 guys on the boat to reduce costs.
Dont think it safe enough to add another 2!
It certainly puts a damper on it to try and get to the outdoors now, for me and a few I know.

On a side note, as it relates to hunting.
I wonder if all the added costs nowdays causes folks to change their hunting approach.
With all the costs, are more folks tempted to cut a tag now where before they may have let it walk?
Same for fishing, do some now poach more because of the costs?
Money makes folks do weird things.
