    Hunting around Trail/Rossland

    Hey folks!

My wife got a job on the KBRH and we will be moving to the region in about a month. We are both excited as it looks like beautiful country.

Living in Vancouver, I'll make the wild assumption that hunting is better over there. I am correct, right? What opportunities are there in the region? Any local knowledge I should keep in mind? Anyone from the area open to meet with a newcomer?

    Thanks!

I lived in rossland for a bit back in the 90s. Plenty of good hunting to be had. If you hunt blacks I recall seeing 5-8 and evening. Coarse deer are plentiful but mulys can be hard to come by. And elk are of course there. It was pretty much a hippy community back then but lots of good people to be found.

    Sent you a PM Agustin.
If we’re not supposed to eat animals, how come they’re made out of meat?

Unfortunately there’s always been humble numbers in the area and recently like many parts of the province the numbers are at an all time low. However it’s is beautiful country and black bears are everywhere. Congrats on the move.
