Wow, that really sucks. Such a beautiful area to waste with an open pit mine.

Don't worry the FNs will put a stop to it.
Oh great another mine pouring there tailings into Quesnel lake. Polly mine has started back up and has 2 pipes pouring there tailings into the lake already.
I will never eat another fish out of Quesnel lake.

Look around is there someone you can introduce to shooting because that’s the only way we will buck the anti gun trend sweeping Canada! "tigrr 2006"
Awesome News finally some real new project up here under our socialist gov, should not be too many FN problems out that way as far as claims go. With the Turdlet just being here in WL i'm sure there was some palm greasing going on already. as for as the WLIB regarding this project, hence this announcement, Polley firing up has been positive, considering that most Harvestable areas around this area of the Province are pretty well done Im Glad that Tony wont eat any fish out of the Flow Thru Quesnel system,Just means a few more for the rest of us that aren't scared of drinking out of Puddles..Horsee
PIGS IS PIGS;BUT HOG'S IS HOGS!
Actually as long as the tailings stay submerged in water they are fairly safe. The problem is when they are left exposed to air do they become oxidized and poisonous even if re sumerged. My old man was in the reclamation business for a long time and I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't see the water samples for myself.
hmmm that mine was being explored 15 years ago..I forgot all about it till now...it was apparantly pretty high yielding numbers...that area is pretty devoid of activity..actually more moose..more bears than people.havnt fished the lake in 20 years..price of fuel..unlikeley that close to LIKELY lol..

Ya
Just heard about it and am trying to learn more
sounds like it’s an old project finally getting some $ thrown at it?
The local FN have already signed off and approved it, so it sounds like it’s a go….
Seems to me like if they Manage the Salmon run to Zero in Quesnel lake, then they should be in the clear to dam it to help charge everyone’s cars…..
