I've got lots, but my favorite it the Spyderco Rescue assist. Can be used with gloves, pressure actuated window breaker, whistle, cobra head for thumb, partially serated, orange, FRN handle, no point on the blade, made in Seki City Japan.
When in doubt, just pin it.

I use a buck 105 from the eighties I got as a 18th birthday present from my folks! I also like to have a Havlon for skinning, and just inherited a beauty uncle Henry from a close friends dad! The good old steel! Moosin

I always end up going back to my buck 110 knife. Bought a Havalon to try out and forgot to test it on my mule deer this fall. Maybe next year. Always interested in finding better gear. Good thread OP

Have one of his from the early '80's . . . . never been used.
The smaller drop point 3'' blade knives are a favorite.
Also use a Schrade Uncle Henry 'Wolverine' . . . original Made in the USA.

I'd sure like the knives of alaska brown bear skinning knife. Large completely rounded end so little risk of accidently poking holes in hides. A bit pricey though, and I've already got more knifes than needed.

The sale prices on the website are really good. It's probably a dumb idea, but am actually tempted to buy their ulu knife.
