I'm on board with this style of knife, as well. I use either the Havalon or the Edge knife that uses the replaceable surgical blades. They are ultra sharp! The handles are brightly coloured so you never have trouble spotting it when you lay it on the ground and one blade can do a whole animal using the gutless method. And if you were to ever lose it the replacement cost doesn't break the bank.

$8 exacto knife is my go to. Been using one for about 20 years
Have a havalon too but can't beat the exacto for gutting, skinning, lightweight - gets dull and you snap a section off and keep going.
cut rope, tarps, tags - you name it.
lose it - who cares, it was $8
The fancy hunting knife is for cutting sausage.

It's a good idea actually. They should make a camo version called something like "The Sportsmen's Choice". Probably sell even more than they already do.
When in doubt, just pin it.

I have one that holds 7 spare blades but never took it hunting, yet!

Yellow is my go to, easier to find!!!
I had a camo neoprene scope cover that I dropped one time on a stalk, almost gave up finding it. Trust me, this works really good, I use a shorter Kershaw inside the chest cavity so I don’t cut myself with the razor sharp blade but the Olpha does all the hide.

I favour my Havalon Piranta, would be nice if it was orange but not a game changer. I carry my Havalon, and Outdoor Edge Razor Lite and always have one of my old fixed blades on my belt. It's nice not having to sharpen my fixed blades every time I gut an animal so will always favour my exchange a blade knives.

Like your thinking tyreguy ! Would be nice if Olfa had a slightly curved blade series . It sure how they could do that.

I currently use a Falkniven F1 ( for about the last 7 years). I've absolutely fell in love with the convex edge.

That said, not the best choice for real delicate work but I have broke down and boned out elk with it and not needed to touch up the blade until I was done.
