Very good, nice to get some idea what BCWF is up to.
The new executive director looks good
Yes Jesse is great! He's a really knowledgeable guy and is incredibly passionate about what he does. Not only that, he's a friggin killing machine (or used to be - he was super hardcore back in the day)
He also has a knack for getting his point across, like when he says in the BCWF most recent update below
"how we manage wildlife on highways is usually by running them over....so that's a great reason to pick up your pen and paper and write to your MLA and tell them you want to see more wildlife overpasses in BC"
"It is the first responsibility of every citizen to question authority." - Benjamin Franklin

Harvest,
While Jesse deserves many of the props you give, don't become blinded.
Like every human, Jesse will ignore facts to fit his desired narrative, even to the detriment of the hunting community.
Jesse,
How come you declared to me on the phone that you don't care about the questionable science regarding the then "proven" hunting induced genetic harm with Bighorn sheep?
How do you justify desiring and furthering greater restrictions on hunting Bighorns using debunked science, simply because you like the impact?
You thinking bcwf is picking on a single point of science, good or debunked, to form an opinion?
Glad to say I have hunted Northern BC
Simon Fraser had pretty good judgement on what he found in BC
Fair enough. I don't know Jesse personally and don't know all of his personal views on wildlife mgt etc. and therefore not as fully versed as you may be. But I have learned a lot from him over the years (on this forum). I definitely respect your opinion and vast knowledge on these topics and will always listen to your points of view because you know more than me on these subjects, particularly about wild sheep. Will try to keep an open mind. But I'm sure we can all agree that he gave good advice to ask folks to write to their MLA's and ask for more wildlife overpasses

Ridiculous. I've already recently explained in this BCWF forum, which you personally responded to so are obviously aware, that I have discussed this directly with Jesse.
To re-iterate, Jesse blew off further discussion of his desire to ignore the science because as he stated, he desired the limiting of hunting opportunity regardless of the science.
No, it's called calling a spade a spade.
He has my number.
He has called me several times before, asking for help.
If he has an issue with my comment, he can call again.
