I don't have any real idea. I know that at one time, the geologist looked into the small stream and identified mercury globules in the gravel. Probably not a big deal as mercury stays together and sinks so it's less likely to be consumed. But the arsenic, did give me pause to think about the long term effects of eating wild game liver. I would suggest if anyone is hunting around known mineral occurrences they should be aware of any chemicals used in processing of minerals and the effluent that might flow into natural water bodies. Moving water, less of a concern that a mine shaft full of water.

To answer your question, it would be interesting to take a liver and have it analyzed for trace elements.
