Yup it is thick enough 17" Great day fishing.

So today after the cold crap moved on I went fishing. 4 rainbows, 1 still swimming and 4 squaw fish(going for dog/eagle food). I think it hit -3 today. Waiting for the snow dump to come.
Pics exceed my quota sorry guys(Exceeds your quota by 33.1 KB). Pics of a 14" and 13" rainbow, but you half to imagine it. Added them to my postimages.

Got out on the solid water myself this afternoon. About 7-8” of nice hardness here. The lake I had intended to fish was pretty much a frozen wind tunnel, despite calm and -8 at home, so I fished at a smaller lake only a couple Km away, with minimal wind to begin with. No bites, and as the wind increased there as well, I left before I became a part of the frozen landscape.

Took a little detour on the way home, got to see some snow drifts a grader couldn’t conquer. Good thing a farmer was on scene with his big 4wd John Deere to dig away them with his loader.
    Pretend hunter.

If you use a free picture hosting site such as https://postimages.org/ you can post all the pictures you want...

Yes I did just that Dennis. But I posted then on two other forums without hosting them on another web site.
Internet provider says I have almost used up my bandwidth(50gigs). I have to stretch it out till the 12th or it goes back to telus landline speed. Back out fishing today on Nonamous lake.
    This keeps me warm.

Nope never fished Spanish. 28 lakes around Horsefly and I have wet a line in 11 of them. Caught fish in 8 of them. Caught rainbows that busted off on 8lb test line because the line guide spinner was frozen. Estimate it weighted 6 or 7 lbs. They are deactivating roads around here lately. Some lakes are not accessible any more. Buy a northern BC Fishing Mapbook just like I did. Best $30 I ever spent. It shows the holes and drop offs that I use to find fish. I bought an underwater camera and a winter fish finder. I should have saved that list I typed out. Ice caught fish are the best..

The four fuzzy ones above are squaw fish and the next is peamouth chub and squaw fish. The pic is all eagle food and dog food.

So today started out at -1C then went to -13 and now down to -18. Froze my behind off. Had fun till I couldn't feel my fingers anymore. I have a little buddy heater but it wasn't enough to keep the holes ice free, let alone the shrimp thawed. Poor meal worms froze in my coverall pocket. Need a plywood shack with a wood stove. One like this one be good.
