    Fresh Cat Kill

The things you stumble into. We were out doing some scouting and walked into this kill that was scarcely 2 mins old. We obviously bounced the cat.
We did get a glimpse of it. Very cool.

Green grass? Nice. I'll take a guess. Lynx? Were you able to identify it?

Cougar for sure, get lots on cam in this area.....Never a lynx or bobcat.
The kill had the Hallmarks, claw marks on the back and shoulders and a crushed esophagus.

Cougars kill deer at a rate of one every 6-12 days, that could be over 50 a year. A nursing female could kill a deer sized animal every 4 days.
