    Remember Humphrey wool pants?

When I was a kid all the West Coast trollers and a lot of the old men wore Humphrey brand Bannockburn tweed brown wool pants from Humphrey Woolen Mills in New Brunswick. Fishermen called the "Iron Bark" pants.

They were darn good winter hunting pants too. You don't see them around any more.

I've got one pair left, but the top button won't close.

I guess wool shrinks if you leave it in a drawer for 30 years.

I was able t buy a Bell Shirt wool shirt jacket at a fisherman's store in Prince Rupert. Next time in Rupert , I checked the store, it was all fleece. I had that same ongoing problem with wool pants, I ended up with Columbia brand . I couldn't get the good Maritime ones anymore.

I've got the odd old photo of me wearing them. We called them fisherman's pants. Stanfield on top and good to go. I'm back to that now after trying a few hitech expensive pieces that were no better.
