    Jet Boating Muskwa River

    Hello All...

Can anyone tell me how far up the Muskwa River jet boats can travel? Giving a lat/long or some other way to identify the spot would be helpful...

    Thanks

    Approximately 57°45'10"N 124°21'40"W

She gets small at the top end. You won't be able to pick enough gas in your boat.

Like Ryanb has said, hauling enough fuel is the biggest problem.
I have had fuel dropped off for a minimal charge at the start of the Tuchodi.

Yes, might be a specific one for fsj or Fort Nelson as well. But those guys run that stretch regularly. I tried in a big boat and its awesome but I prefer bigger water as my boat fairly heavy and 12° haul.

We had 6 barrels of gas plus both side tanks full on our trip this year and were 4.5 - 5hrs up river. Still came back with fuel to spare.

I must ask why you want to run as far as you can on the Muskwa? In no way am I trying to be negative but the game numbers are merely a fraction of what they used to be. The ship sailed up there over a decade ago. The liberal cow elk season and high predator numbers thinned out what was left. It isn’t worth the gas or effort to run your boat there. The main restriction for distance is the amount of fuel you can haul. Plan to use more that anticipated as the River has steep grades and high flow in some areas.
