I was gonna say "Shit dude! You shot him in the ear!" and then I read the post and sure enough - you shot him in the ear!
Tough call on head shots, right? I know they're not recommended but I know a couple of pretty good hunters who head shoot their deer all the time. I think its a case of "Can you put the bullet where you want it? If so, great. If not? Hit the range and know your limits".
That buck looks both really good and really dead, so I wouldn't sweat that one. Tipped over fast, right?
