I was out with a friend today I now have this guy hanging in my container he's bigger than yesterdays buck.

We are now officially tagged out in Reg 2

Now to head up to either reg 3 or 8 for an immature bull moose or whitetail buck if I'm correct 4 point mule are still open in reg 3

Funniest post I have ever read...

I have not noticed significant runout, mind you, after a few brews I lose interest in measuring...

Camp Cook = Big Blacktail Buck Serial Killer! Making it look easy man - very impressed. Mind sharing what cartridge your rifle is chambered for? And how solid is your scope sitting on only one ring? I have a break action .22 that I'm thinking of putting a scope on.

    Congrats!

Carbine is a 14" barreled T/C Contender carbine chambered in a wildcat called 338JDJ #2 it was designed by JD Jones of SSK Ind the parent case is a 444 Marlin the load used today was a 200gr Hornady SST at 2350fps the load yesterday was a 180gr Accubond @ 2500fps

That rough spot on his neck is the exit hole.

My son used the same rifle a week ago loaded with the 180gr Accubond loads to score this little guy

Awesome work Camp Cook. That is one hell of a blacktail rifle. You definitely don't f-around. Good luck with the rest of your season in the Interior (should be able to follow tracks in the snow now in many areas now)

Wow! Way to take advantage of BT prime-time here in the Valley of the Fraser variety. That buck from today has some good muscle to him.

I'd say best of luck on your Reg 3/8 hunt, but the way you get on those BT's makes you an assassin for any other species. Less luck needed!
