Don’t forget to compulsory report that harvest!

Congrats, should be good eats - probably get a good bit of lard off it too.
If it cant be done with one shot, it shouldn't be done.

They don't, that's why we don't have feral pigs...feral pigs will revert back to their non domesticated appearance rather quickly. They will get hairy, grow tusks and get aggressive.
From the sounds of it and looks of it, this is just a recently escaped pig. Wouldn't last the winter, probably didn't last a weekend lol

At first look, I said that is not a feral pig (and like Darksith I highly doubt that there will ever be a significant wild pig population in BC)

But the definition is the definition: "Feral refers to pigs of the genus Sus that are not in captivity or are nototherwise under a person’s control."

    https://www2.gov.bc.ca/assets/gov/en..._pig_alert.pdf

It is a pot belly pig, if there were no farms around, something was going to kill it sooner than later...

I saw at least a dozen pigs wandering along the Nazko Hwy this summer. They’d fit the definition of feral but given all the farms there, I figured I’d be explaining that to some pissed off farmer and his 3 giant sons. I probably would have ended up as pig food supplement.

Explain to him what "under control" means.
