    Awesome!

Really happy to hear such a candid individual speak about the role humans historically played in the food chain, and the effects our removal from this portion of the food chain have had.

I’ve speculated numerous times about the effect of natives on pinniped populations and what the removal of natives as a pinniped predator must have - I’m glad that there is at least one scientist look at this and cultivating interest in it.
If it cant be done with one shot, it shouldn't be done.

What is the status of a food fishery for them ? Not that I would eat one . I was offered some canned seal years ago and quickly declined , smelled terrible !

I am sure if it was some sort of jerky, my dog would eat it

I have a recipe for “flipper pie”, found in the hunter chef cookbook. I would try it.

can anyone give a synopsis of the webinar? I wasn’t able to watch it

I signed up but wasn't able to watch it live, hoping they will upload to youtube again?

I enjoyed Carl's presentation from the SFI webinar's last fall, sounds like that presentation overlapped with this most recent one
