    Cheaper teepee?

I’ve been liking my cimarron, but I think I’d like a bigger tent with a stove jack, but a cheaper price tag. I really don’t need an untralight backpacking model with a carbon fibre pole, but it would be more for truck/quad trips. Must be waterproof and sturdy in the wind, have a stove jack, preferably breathable so it doesn’t sweat too much and sleeps 4 -5 comfortably with a stove.

There is a used one for $250 in the off topic forum. Tipitent Camo Hunter. Might be a cheap way to test the waters?

I bought this tent and used if for our fly in moose hunt. It performed awesome in days of heavy wind rain and snow.

I’ve got this on my wish list for myself for base camp hunting trips and family camping. Im glad to hear you like it. I have Luxe 2P tipi for backcountry hunting trips. It works very well for me.

Thanks for the link. I’ve been casually shopping for a tent for my annual November boat access hunt, and just pulled the trigger on their Mini Peak XL. It looks like amazing value for money!

The Mini peak is the model I have. I’m happy with it.

They emailed me back. Tent is shipping from Washington tomorrow. Keen to see what it’s like. I won’t do a stove this season. Maybe downthe road. I will enjoy being able to cook in a sheltered space that is safer than inside a regular tent though.
