    Fsr open or blocked

Hi guys. Im looking to take my youngest for a youth mule deer hunt but dont know what roads are open or blocked. Ive been to the government website but im looking for first hand info. Im in Langley and would like to travel only 4-5 hours to an area. All fsr Roads are blocked hope to merrit and to princeton. Beyond that im clueless. Any help would be great, we will be mostly using a atv. He to young for my usual hunting style so road hunting is what were gonna try.

The govt website does a pretty good job of showing closures. You can look at your gps and map and see what roads are within the closures. There are still a few roads within those areas that aren't part of the closure from what I can see.

If you want to play it safe maybe head up towards Pemberton?

Dino: Have tried a couple of times to PM ya' but your inbox is full.
Anyways, all the FSR's from Princeton to Tulameen are open, Connally, Cook, Granite, Lodestone and such.
You can arrive at the Granite Creek Site across the bridge from Coalmont, turn left and follow the signs, park trailer there and quad or truck up Lodestone.
Carry a firearm for grouse, lots of big ones this year.
    Good luck.

Where are you seeing that the roads between Hope and Merritt are closed?
If it cant be done with one shot, it shouldn't be done.

Was just looking myself the other day, all I found on Drive BC was
Highway 5. Wildlife advisory in effect between Exit 238: Juliet Rd and Exit 256: Coldwater Rd for 18.6 km (29 km south of Merritt to 19 km north of Coquihalla Summit). Due to wildfire damage to wildlife fencing. Increased risk of wildlife on road. Use caution. Last updated Fri Aug 27 at 9:12 AM PDT. (DBC-32811)

While checking various areas on bc wildfire dashboard I noticed a new notice for hunters saying area closed to in some areas. Have to click on the fire then “view”.

Go on the Wildfire BC website. Lots of areas around wildfires are closed until October 15th. So no youth season in some MU in region 3 for instance.
