    snaring rabbits

I have a 7 year old granddaughter that wants to snare rabbits to eat. I don't know if it's legal.
Looking at the Regs. I can't find anything. Can anyone help thanks.

8 A person may snare snowshoe hare during the open season if they have a hunting licence and completed the trapper education course. The snare must be non-braided, no heavier than 20gauge, and without a locking device.

Snare wire - dollar store wire. watch videos and search for trails and have at her. You have to check everyday. Run for a week and shut it down. She will tire of the cleaning and finding ones not edible. Canning with some flavor is best. Cooking with spices and then canning is good. Slow cooking the whole rabbit is bad due to the 10000 bone skeletal system. Shake and bake rabbit is good.

Shooting rabbits is fun. A 410 or 20 gauge auto is sufficient.

We did this as kids. Dad pulled a live one out and brought it home one night. Good stuff.
