Perfect setup for Green Timbers fishing?

Anyone have good experience with catching Trout at Green Timbers park in Surrey? I have been a bunch of times, caught a few small carp myself and have seen a couple guys catch the bigger trout before

Problem is that I have tried a many different setups, bobber, sinker, and spincasting but can't seem to dial it in on the best to use for this lake. Seems like nothing makes a huge difference and it mostly just feels like luck.

Also yes I know this lake is not the best for fishing but it is within walking distance and I would like to learn as much as I can about fishing here so I don't have to drive somewhere far to catch

The lake seems fairly deep in the middle but do the fish hang out down there? How deep does it get? Kinda seems like they all hang out in the inaccessible area behind the tall grass but it is really hard to cast out that far

Sliding float setup with raw prawns or power bait will catch any trout.
I used to fish lakes with that and caught lots even on bread.
Green timbers gets fished out fast since it’s small and there a folks sleeping over there
