I really like this method. Ill probably use this method + past bridge of nose + count 8 annuli lol. 3 sheep hunts and no ram yet, but gaining a little more knowledge each year. Looking forward to using this method this year!

Great advice from a guy who really knows what he’s talking about.
300 plus successful sheep hunts under his belt. I don’t know how many other sheep hunters could say the same thing living or dead.

Short of changing the thin horn regs strictly to “past the bridge of the nose”, this method looks to be the simplest way for aging rams for the majority of hunters. I’ve sat with guys that have 25 years under their belt as sheep hunters and their knowledge is invaluable. Thanks to Jay, the mindful hunter, for emailing me this upon completion.
