The only advantage to a light rifle is it's weight, all other advantages go to the heavier rifle..

It actually very easy. I did a complete step by step write up a month ago detailing how to post pics with PostImage.

Several members are now successfully posting pics and there’s a good chance they are no more bright than you so there is hope.

Hopefully will be out by Port Renfrew or Tofino (via Port Alberni) in 2 weeks weather permitting for Hali etc.
Then off to Merritt a week later for a week of fly fishing.
Then, hopefully turn around again ASAP and hoping Parksville is opened up although I would rather hit the west coast.
Not sure if Port Hardy is going to happen???

July 19th I have 5 days of self-guided fishing in Hardy. It should be a blast.

Thanks fuzzy, I don’t have kids so there’s not much helping me.

Good luck to all and safe travels!

Love the Hourston 264! They are great boats and I always wanted to have one. I did have a 19’ Zeta convertible with a full width aluminum pod and a 200hp Yammy HPDI and 9.9 4-stroke on the back for quite a few years. Closest I got.

That was originally inboard motor correct?
Outboards are an addition, are they not?
    Nice ride.

I can’t speak for 264’s boat but in the early 90’s you could get 20-24 foot Hourstons with an outboard. I also saw one from the mid 80’s with the old OMC Seadrives which were just an outboard with their own transom attachment. They didn’t provide any flotation like a pod but they did allow Hourston and Double Eagle to factory mount an outboard to a flat transom with no motor well.

Most the 20+ foot older cruisers you see out there have aftermarket pods though. The one I had on my Zeta was full width and followed the bottom of the hull so from underneath it was more of an extension of the hull and provided a ton of flotation. The boat went from 19-21 foot with lots of room in it without the dog house. My was custom built by Wolf in Mereville.
