    Crown Land Search

    Hello,

New to hunting in BC living in the Vancouver area. I'm wondering if there are any resources or what everyone uses for tracking down crown land to hunt on in BC. Im happy to travel anywhere assuming restrictions chill out come fall and looking to hunt Muley or Whitetail with my Bow. Ivew tried through Ihunter app and the government maps site but they are both super clunky and hard to understand.

Any suggestions to make my life easier? TIA

    Rob

You can try iMap. There's a layer for land ownership: https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/d...mapping/imapbc

Backroads mapbook is good for the most part (tells you if it's municipal, crown or IR) but to be 100% IMAP BC layers or equivalent such is iHunter are needed.

Generally crown land is just that, but there can be leases or ecological areas.

BRMB is a pretty solid tool to start with, i recommend both soft and hard copies. Soft for home-based planning, and hardcopy for on-site reference.

Front Counter BC is great. It provides you with a Google Earth overlay and shows all sorts of good stuff.

Just click on the "Launch Discovery Tool" button.
