Wow great photos, great story, great mentorship!

I spoke with SRUPP last week and can attest to what a generous first class guy. I wish I could've made it up there last week but life happens. If I get a bear this year, I'll be sure to check it's eyes before getting too close.

Hmm always recomend checking those eyes..dead animble have open eyes..use binos check for lack of chest movement..no breathing.
When approaching dead bear..approach from the top..spine..Not bottom ie legs....

Hope you get out..thanks also for kind words
    Cheers

hey! Yes we missed you this year, you must have been in a lot of pain to miss bear season, really did miss catching up with you in person. We made it down there.. the very bottom place is where James got that bear... wind blowing right, sitting waiting until close to dusk for the travel home

I’ll try giving you a call this weekend before lunch sometime, also have lots of down time while he’s sleeping and just being in his room

Hmmm Congradulations to James..that small little clearing has produced so many bears and a multitude of opportunities over 30 years...if you consider where it is.what it is..and why it is so attractive to bears...
Congrads on the new son.and look forward to a chat.6 bears in last 2 years..and opportunity for 2 more the year before..doing something right.
    Thanks Tyler

James and I put together everything you taught us, the bears were because of your knowledge and the willing to teach some newbie bear hunters. Sooo appreciated! Plus the area is just gods land up there, even with the logging..
