While I never had the pleasure of meeting Coach, I recall a more than a few high quality threads, and always enjoyed his classy posts. I thought he was a young(er) fellow, and while I don’t know any details (or need to know, for that matter), I do know that life is often too short; way to short to waste on chasing only the almighty dollar, or to put off what’s really important in life until later. I’m becoming acutely aware of this, partly by my own father’s recent passing at the age of 67.
RIP Sean, I know I missed you when you were no longer an active member here, and that’s only a faint shadow of what the ones close to you must be feeing now.

Very sad. Never met the man but looked forward to his presence here. Condolences to his family and friends.

RIP Coach, I never met him but he sounded like a solid individual who taught and inspired many!
I like drinking beer and whiskey, shooting guns, jetboating, love a nice rack and a tight line, I am simply a sophisticated redneck...
RIP, condolences to family
My condolences to the family. I too looked forward to posts from Coach - a reasonable, balanced and informed contributor to this forum.
When coach and I were on one of our first hunts together, sitting by the fire after a 2hr pack in. I asked him what defines a person in life. He said without pause.....you are either a taker or giver in life was his response. Right answer as I firmly believe life is based on what a person contributes, not what you take. Based on that understanding of a mutually shared core value system we became very good friends, very good friends.
