    farm labour to earn some cash growing up...
    out of high school became a letter carrier for 3 years...
    setting beads / rigging slinger for one fall...
    floorlayer for 7 years...
    electrician 'til retirement...

    I'm an RN. It's a surprisingly good career for an outdoorsman. I have work anywhere I go, a strong union, all the OT I want and I do well enough to comfortably support a wife and 4 kids. Plus I can honestly say that I lay my hands on people and they live when they would otherwise die. Makes me feel pretty damn good about how life's working out.

    I sell medical equipment in Western Canada. Lots of opportunities to get out and about.

    Mostly yard maintenance. Only drawback is that it's a 'volunteer' position.
    Growing old is unavoidable. Growing up is highly overrated....
